Reynolds customised phone holders were a huge success at EMEX 2018.
Reynolds would like to thank all our visitors who had the opportunity to support us during this event. Due to the success of this event we created over 300 customised phone holders over the span of three days. Just like the Sausageanator at FoodTech PackTech in 2016, we allowed visitors to order a personalised phone holder by offering a series of graphics to choose from before the Omron and UR robots manufactured the unit right before them.
Our Omron robot profiled a piece of acrylic by shaping it using a router, before handing it over to our UR5 which then heat sealed the edges. The UR5 proceeded to present the flat acrylic piece to the laser coding station to add the customisation chosen by the visitors. After the flash of lights, the piece was then taken through our purpose design and built bending process. Our UR3 then came alive to pluck a pencil from our not so purpose built straw dispenser continuing on to laser the scanned name into the pencil and then finally sharping. With the phone stand now in its full form and cooled down to keep its new shape, our UR3 opened the dispatched door before delivering the manufactured product to be taken.
Showcasing the manufacturing process and how easily each robot their tasks sparked much interest from our viewers. Multiple times visitors watched process after process, creating an opportunity to educate, demonstrate and showcase how Reynolds can get you ready for Industry 4.0.
Showcasing an end-of-line solutions in a box, with a side of entertainment, our exhibit demonstrated a fun way of showing our capabilities and how we are able to fully integrate these technologies to provide a solution specific to your needs. If there is a process in your manufacturing end-of-line production which you would like to develop, or to discuss any of our services, contact your local sales rep or our team.
