The solution uses roTeg Paro linear axis robots to service multiple production lines and pallets at the same time. It’s an excellent example of the large payload ratings linear robots are able to achieve relative to their cost as well as the much larger working area they enable, compared to regular five- and six – axis robots.
As always, safety is paramount for any palletising solution like this. To ensure we created an environment that is both flexible and safe for operators, our team combined Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley Guardlogix multi-zone safety control with sensors from SICK.
