OnRobot Gripper Handling Delicate Glass Parts
SCHOTT decided on an application in which an RG2-FT gripper from OnRobot is mounted on a collaborating robot arm. The special thing about the electric two-finger gripper is that both force/torque sensors and optical sensors are located in its fingertips. For those hard-to-reach places
We have built this solution based on a Universal Robots UR5 cobot for a customer that needed a little extra reach. The telescoping vacuum gripper extends out a further 200mm as required. The robot will be collecting RSC cartons of varying size from an erector, breaking the flaps, and then delivering them to an outfeed in different orientation depending on the box type. A simple solution that removes a worker from a dead boring job, with rapid payback on investment.
