Print and apply labels seamlessly, without slowing your line

Novexx and Evolabel Label Printer Applicators (LPAs) combine label printing and placement into one continuous step, dramatically improving efficiency and accuracy on medium to high-volume lines.

Whether you're applying ingredient labels, batch codes, or logistics labels, LPAs offer real-time label printing and application in one compact system. This reduces manual steps, eliminates delays, and ensures the right label is always on the right product.

How Label Printer Applicators work

LPAs print labels using integrated print engines, then automatically apply them to products or packaging. They detect each item on the line and precisely control label placement, keeping production fast and reliable.

LPA labels can be thermal transfer or direct thermal. Direct thermal labels are heat sensitive, while thermal transfer printers use a ribbon to melt ink onto the label when heated by the print head.

Benefits of LPAs

  • Print and apply in one step - no need to pre-print and manually apply
  • Accurate placement - consistent positioning across flat, curved or tapered surfaces
  • Flexible label printing - handle variable data like dates, batch codes or barcodes on demand
  • Integrates with ERP/WMS systems - print directly from your production data

Smarter integration with your systems

Our Novexx and Evolabel Label Printer Applicators can be fully integrated with our iDSnet software platform, making it easier to design labels, switch formats, and manage product changeovers on the fly.

You can:

  • Access product and barcode data from a central database
  • Automate label changes during production runs
  • Monitor line performance in real time
  • Connect and control devices like barcode scanners and checkweighers

Ideal applications

LPAs are ideal for:

  • Ingredient and nutrition panel labels
  • Date and batch codes
  • Carton and primary packaging labelling
  • Regulatory, compliance, and traceable shipping labels
  • Pallet labels
