What is Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) printing?

CIJ is a non-contact printing technology that expels a continuous stream of ink droplets through a microscopic nozzle. As the product moves along the line, electrical fields direct the charged droplets onto the surface, creating clean, legible marks, even on uneven or curved surfaces.

Designed for small character printing, CIJ printers can print at incredibly high speeds and are ideal for fast-paced production lines where downtime is not an option. With quick-drying inks and high-speed printing capabilities, they can print thousands of products per hour without slowing down your line.

Printing from one to six lines of text with characters ranging from 1.8mm (up to six lines) to 20mm (single line only), and with inks to suit every substrate, the CIJ has become a staple printer for batch and date coding on end-user products. Think best before dates on milk bottles, batch numbers on honey pots, and more.
